CERAMSAFE Eco-Nonstick Coat

CERAMSAFE is a new generation of Ceramic Eco-Nonstick coating technology which surpasses the conventional hazardous chemicals or older generation ceramic coating system. CERAMSAFE Eco-Nonstick is specially developed to be more durable and perform with much more similar properties to that of natural ceramic to withstand even the most extreme conditions of use and wear with added properties of being able to "rejuvenate" its nonstick properties even after the nonstick top coat have completely been worn out.

The difference of nonstick performance between 'chemical nonstick coat pans' and 'Ceramic nonstick coat pans':

The conventional nonstick pans made from chemicals (PFOA/PTFE) have the second highest coefficient of friction (level of slipperiness) known to man (second to diamond-carbon material).

This high level of nonstick properties of conventional chemical nonstick pans makes it difficult for any alternative nonstick solutions to exactly match its high nonstick performance. Ultimately, the reality is that ceramic nonstick pans will lose its nonstick performance sooner than the conventional chemically made nonstick pans. On the other hand, the conventional nonstick coatings made from hazardous chemicals is a plastic polymer "prone to break down" at extremely low temperatures (as low as 200oC/392oF) causing possible health risk and cancer to the unaware users.

With the high possibility of health and environmental risk, many people have turned to other alternative non-stick solutions such as Stainless Steel pans (which are heavy and expensive and very difficult to use), Cast Iron pans (which are also very heavy and very difficult to use), and Ceramic nonstick coated pans (which are made from Aluminum so its lighter, easy to use and economically affordable than other alternatives). Unfortunately, conventional "Ceramic Nonstick coat Pans" lose their nonstick performance much faster than the conventional nonstick pans.

This is the major difference between "CERAMSAFE" to other ceramic
                                    nonstick coating technology.

Through CERAMSAFE's extensive experiences and know how in ceramic technology, CERAMSAFE has overcome the problems of the conventional ceramic coating technology and developed a new generation of exclusive Eco-nonstick ceramic coating technology which can "REJUVENATE" its nonstick performance(explained in the User's manual under "2-minute nonstick rejuvenation seasoning").

Why use CERAMSAFE Ceramic nonstick?

Ultimately, the chemically made coatings commonly used today are a "plastic polymer" which like any other plastic material, would become soft and weak when exposed to heat thus easily prone to scratches and its chemical structure breaking down at considerably low temperature, creating hazardous and sometimes "toxic" fumes.

CERAMSAFE does not use or contain environmentally hazardous chemicals such as PFOA or PTFE and because its made from nanocomposite minerals derived from natural ceramics it can withstand extremely high temperatures(above450oC (842oF)) and becomes even more resilient when heat is applied just like the properties of a fine ceramic ware.

0% PTFE & 0% PFOA

Able to handle cooking temperature up to 450oC (842oF)

No toxic fumes released if overheated

Eco-Friendly production using clean electric ceramic oven.

WHAT TO DO WHEN THE NONSTICK PERFORMANCE FADES:

Ceramsafe Eco-Nonstick Ceramic coating is exclusively developed
to perform even after the nonstick fades.

When the nonstick performance starts to fade the thick high density ceramic under coat allows the pan to be used just like a Cast Iron pan. This is because CERAMSAFE Eco-nonstick coating is composed of 2 functional specially formulated ceramic layers. The top layer is coated with a nonstick ceramic coating which gives the pan's surface the wonderful nonstick properties. The second extra thick high density ceramic coat (under coat) gives the pan the unique properties similar to that of high density "ceramic ware" with nanoporous surface which when applied with cooking oil will absorb and hold the oil thus enabling the pan to season its surface just like a cast iron pan.

This means just like Cast Iron pans, frequent seasoning and adding small amounts of oil during each cooking will improve the nonstick performance (see instructions for "The "2-minutes" Nonstick RE-SEASONING") and "rejuvenate" the nonstick properties even when the nonstick surface has been completely worn out.

When APPLYING COOKING OIL, always give the oil a nice even rub onto the surface of the pan using a paper towel when the pan is "warm" (take care the pan may be hot). This will allow the oil to slightly soak into the scratched or worn ceramic surface to create a very thin layer of natural nonstick surface from the oil. Seasoning can be done any time or any number of times.

Just like Cast Iron pans, when you start to season the pan, try to avoid using detergent when washing the pan but just rinse with running water or simply wipe clean with paper towel because the detergent will clean away the "seasoned oil" in the ceramic surface (which may mean you need to season again to replace the seasoned oil).

Once the nonstick performance starts to fade, if need be, you may freely use "steel wool" or scouring pads to gently wash the pan because you may not need to protect the top nonstick surface anymore (the high density under coat is strong enough to cope with steel wool and scouring pads). The pan can be used until the Ceramic coating is all worn out.
